For the March video in the Great Choices for Great Kids series, Suz interviewed Whitney Burton, FGKF board member about how her passions fit into what she does with the farm and with her job.

We made a very easy coleslaw this time - the recipe came from Suz's late Great-Grandmother and will now carry on in the legacy of Great Kids Farm!

Here is the video!

Enjoy the recipe here:

Coleslaw
Ingredients:
• Half a head of cabbage (red cabbage or regular will do!)
• 1 and ½ cups shredded carrot
• ½ cup Lite mayonnaise
• ½ cup vinegar
• ¼ cup sugar
• Salt
• pepper
Directions:
1. Cut up cabbage and put aside
2. Shred carrot and put aside, unless carrots are pre-shredded.
3. In a medium bowl, add sugar, mayonnaise, and vinegar. Use a whisk to combine these ingredients until mixture is smooth.
4. Add salt and pepper to taste.
5. Taste dressing before adding to cabbage and carrots.
6. Combine cabbage and carrots in a large bowl.
7. Slowly add half of the dressing to cabbage and carrots.
8. Mix dressing with cabbage and carrots until all veggies are coated evenly.
9. Let rest a bit before adding the rest of the dressing.
10. Add the rest of the dressing to the coleslaw and mix together.
11. Enjoy!
